About Us
Jaro Fleet Technologies is a Series-Seed startup funded by top investors (GGV, Lerer Hippeau, Maersk, Pale Blue Dot) focused on making electric semi-trucks the cheapest way to move goods. Trucking moves 80% of US goods and generates ~8% of US GHG emissions. We've built a first-of-a-kind HW+SW biz model combining renewable energy with existing EV hardware to drives costs down by 2.5X and speeds deployment by 6X.
We just ran a very successful pilot, with 20+ customers, 100% on-time delivery, and zero safety incidents. In 2026, we're launching our first commercial sites and raising our Series A. You'll be joining at the inflection point where we prove this can scale. We're in-person 3-5 days/week in Oakland, CA. For comp, all employees receive upper quartile salary and equity packages based on market data we share transparently with candidates. What You'll Do
In this role, you'll work directly with the CEO as a strategic partner. Your first project will be partnering with the CEO to close our Series A. Alongside that, you'll support Fortune Global 500 customer relationships and critical internal projects.
Here are some examples of what your day-to-day might look like: Preparing the CEO for a $20M investor pitch, then jumping into vendor contract negotiations. Building financial models for fleet economics, then facilitating a team strategy session. Drafting materials for the fundraise, then troubleshooting an operational blocker with a commercial partner. Mapping out our scaling roadmap, then traveling to meet a key strategic vendor.
At the 1 year mark in this role, you'll have the opportunity to design your next role within Jaro based on our scaling needs and your interests, including a senior position in product, capital strategy, or business development.
What You'll Own
Fundraising (immediate priority)
- Lead fundraise readiness work including pitch deck preparation, building financial models, and diligence prep
- Attend all investor meetings and manage pipeline through close
- Partner with CEO and advisors on fundraise strategy and driving results
Strategic execution
- Drive 3-5 critical cross-functional projects (such as site launches, partner integrations, key hires)
- Frame ambiguous problems, develop solution paths, and get leadership aligned
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO on strategy and key customer relationships
Operations & relationships
- Build and nurture relationships with partners, vendors, investors, customers
- Put internal company systems in place that will scale as we grow
- Support CEO on delegating and resolving urgent tactical tasks
- Travel as needed for strategic work (up to ~25% time)
What We're Looking For
Required
- Exposure to venture fundraising (Seed through Series B)
- Creative problem-solving experience: you've built new products, entered new markets, or solved complex operational challenges successfully
- Strong bias to action—you see what needs doing and take initiative
- Exceptional communication skills that drive action
- At ease moving between tactical execution and strategic thinking
- Experience at early-stage startups or high-growth teams
Preferred
- Background in mobility, logistics, climate tech, deep tech, or hardware
- Comfortable with technical and engineering concepts
- Advanced degree
